Jacque was born on a stormy winters day, in Cape Town, South Africa.
He was the most beautiful baby I had ever seen.
At the age of two, Jacque was diagnosed with CF.
The battle from there on was a long and hard one.
The last few of his years spared with us, he lived in the hospital. Being allowed out for a weekend, maybe once a month. And that all depended on his condition at the time.
On the 3rd of September 2004, Jacque asked everyone who was dear to him, to come visit him at the hospital. A room full of adults turned up. All mommy's friends.
Jacque took his time and thanked each and everyone of them for what they did for him in his time. That evening I think, will be remember by all present that night, for a very very long time. He got a grown man to reunite with his father, who he had not spoken to for many years.
He also got a grown women, who would never pray to a group, to pray for him, out loud! So many different feelings that where felt that night by all.
Two days later, a warm Sunday afternoon, Jacque left us behind to join his father. To be able to run around, play the rugby and cricket he always wanted to. He was free, free from the constant pain, short breath, always attached to a oxygen machine..... Jacque Driver was where he belonged.
An Angel.......!!!

A CHILD LOANED

ANGEL OF COMFORT
When each day brings only sadness
and your heart is filled with pain

Your mom speaks of you all the time
but I feel regret,
that I never had the opportunity to meet you,
we would have had a great time...
And dont worry about your mom,
im trying to give her as much love as you did,
im failing miserably..
But she is loved very, very much.
